Personalized Learning Environments: Individualization and Accommodations for Virtual Classrooms

Speaker: Jeremy Loomis-Norris

As information delivery systems and options become more complex and students grow up with digital literacy as a foundation skill, the availability of Personalized Learning Environments can help any teacher reach every student. PLE's can be comprised of a multitude of tools, and can be a solution for  students who are stranded in, and ignored by, traditional curriculum delivery methods.

Bio: Jeremy Loomis-Norris is a graduate student in the Ed Tech program at Texas State University. He is a 504 coordinator and ELA teacher who develops individualized plans for at-risk teens, and is interested in principles of multi literacies, knowledge democracies, and hidden curriculum in our pedagogy.
